World Horse Welfare

On Saturday 2nd July MBBA has a visit arranged to view Glenda Spooner Farm at Somerton, one of the rehabilitation farms of World Horse Welfare – originally known as ILPH.

Please would you give your name to Ginnie on 01749 831276 if you would like to be included as the visit is limited to about 20 people. The price per adult is £5.00 children under 12 are free.

Glenda Spooner Farm is located on Brincil Hill, between the B3151 and the A372, just outside of Kingsdon, Somerset.

The plan is to meet up in the car park at the top of the drive at 10.30am. We will then be shown around the farm and the stables, meeting the ponies that are up for re-homing and those in need rehabilitation. After which there will be light refreshments. MBBA will also be presenting WHW with a donation for the charity. You may stay as long as you like and there are wonderful walks around the paddocks to enjoy.

World Horse Welfare's recovery and rehabilitation centre in Somerset is Glenda Spooner Farm. It can care for a maximum of 80 horses at any one time. For more information please refer to their website www.worldhorsewelfare.org.
