Map Marking Service

MBBA has produced 2 Master Maps (based on OS 141 & 142 Explorer) which show all Rights of Way used by horse riders. All routes known to be on the definitive map are shown as green routes - these are bridleways, byways, rupps and unclassified roads (UCRs). Permissive and licensed routes are shown on the map in orange. Routes used by riders such as old public roads and old bridleways, not yet recorded as bridleways on the definitive map, are shown in blue. All routes are numbered according to parish. With the Master Map is a schedule listing all routes by parish, their status and description.

The Master Maps and Schedule are available for members to look at MBBA meetings.

Charges

Cost of Schedule: £5.00

Cost of marking up your maps £5.00 per map + £1 P & P.

Send your own map (OS Explorer 141 or 142) too MBBA c/o Beech Cottage, Baileys Lane, Westcombe, Shepton Mallet, Somerset BA4 6EN.

Hire of Maps

Cost £5.00 for Schedule plus £1.00 P & P.

Deposit per map of £15.00. Your deposite cheque will not be cashed and will be returned to you provided you return our map(s) wthin 4 weeks.

Please state which map you wish to hire, either Explorer 141 (Cheddar Gorge and Mendip Hills West) or Explorer 142 (Shepton Mallet and Mendip Hills East).
